CHEAP PROPERTY with LAND FOR SALE at PRICE of a BIKE?!?!

ok, you've probably heard by now, or seen TV progs promoting the cheap prices in Bulgaria...
as a recent insider, i can tell you they are cheaper than advertised!
people spending huge fortunes on advertising Bulgarian property for sale are offering the property in EUROS... the houses are actually available in LEVA!
So if you see a house advertised for say 30000 EUROS its probably really on sale for 30000 LEVA! you would pay double the price!
if you wanna get in on the cheap property ladder while it lasts, and it wont last much longer, once the EURO is in, the price of houses will probably double! The answer is to buy direct from the owner. Not so difficult as I am helping the Bulgarians get the actual asking price and the buyer to pay the actual asking price!

they range from around 5 grand up! thats a house albeit requiring renovation but hey guys what a project at what a cheap price!

I bought my place about three years ago.
It's quite a big house by Bulgarian village standards and came with LOADS of land, outbuildings and lots of fruit trees.
I paid £15,000 and could have (and probably should have !) moved in straight away.
I've been refurbing it slowly over the years and it's now done to very superior 'Western' standards and has cost me around £50,000 all in, including all legal fees and all my flights back and forth.
I've now got a large very well presented (estate agent speak) modern 4 bedroom home with a proper fitted kitchen and bathroom.
And that's before I even get started on the cellar (for my Rakia and wine !) and the attic space !
All for the price of a run down terraced slum in the UK.
I'll be leaving the UK for good later this year and will be living as self-sufficient and eco-friendly a life as possible.
Keeping rare breed Hungarian Mangalitza Pigs and Bulgarian Long-Haired Kalofer Goats.
What 'outside' money I need I'm hoping to raise through having a (small) number of 'eco-tourists' who would come out, live off the land, help out a bit if they want to, but still be able to have a lovely holiday in beautiful surroundings.
Obviously I'd also be biker friendly !
Once I get myself moved, and organised I'll be setting up a blog with lots of photos.

well, I hear there's a crisis going on in the UK and most of Europe...

it hasn't really hit Bulgaria.. should I say yet?

the prices of properties are on the rise, although there are a few being offered less as the owners living in Turkey now need money!

Alas when I moved here to Bulgaria the prices were not only cheap, but the exchange rate was 3 to 1, its now down to 2 to 1 due to the UK pound NOT being pegged to the strong euro, so is ailing rather badly, which in itself increases the prices of a house in Bulgaria and of course across Europe too!
